Position : Sr. Backend Developer

Will report to the Sr. Director – Engineering of Flytxt Technology Pvt. Ltd

Reportees:

Software Engineers may be identified as necessary to achieve the department’s objectives

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Backend Developer will be accountable for the following but not limited to:

  1. Design, architect, innovate and implement mobile messaging applications on Neon platform
  2. Analyse and tweak existing applications and infrastructure
  3. Automation of load and longevity testing of the platform (test driven development)
  4. Communicate closely with fellow architects and product management
  5. Actively participate in the team to achieve the team goals
  6. Evangelise and enforce strict design/code reviews as well as test driven development
  7. Actively participate in daily SCRUM meetings
  8. Manage, mentor and train a team of software engineers
Qualification & Experience:

Essential::

  1. UG - B.Sc - Any Specialization;B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization;BCA - Computers
  2. Preferred: PG - M.Sc - Any Specialization;M.Tech - Any Specialization;MCA - Computers
  3. 6 years+ experience in backend application development/Architecture
  4. Strong experience in Java/ J2EE development, Hibernate/SQL and threading
  5. Strong experience in crunching large volumes of data using MapReduce technologies. Experience in Apache Hadoop, Pig, Hive etc preferred
  6. Strong preference for candidates with high transaction JMS experience and middleware programming , ideally with HornetQ JMS server
  7. Strong experience in SQL transactions and optimisation for best throughput, ideally experience with Oracle
  8. Strong experience in jUnit tests and test driven development
  9. Self driven, creative and passionate about creating the best and most stable software
  10. Experience in any of the following is advantageous: SMS, MMS, EJB3, SOAP, HornetQ JMS,Oracle 9i/10g

Compensation:

The compensation will be at par with the best in the industry, including Revenue linked incentives. Deserving candidates will also be considered for participating in the Flytxt stock option program.
