Following his graduation in 1994, Jörg Swoboda worked for KPMG Germany in financial advisory services as well as in the audit department. He specialised in preparing expert business opinions in the fields of business evaluation, financial planning, budgeting and due diligence. He also worked as a KPMG IPO consultant. In 2000, he was appointed as the CFO of German-based IVC Venture Capital AG, a leading Venture Capital Funds focusing on high-tech, IT and media sector. IVC has been providing financing to 50+ innovative business concepts in high-growth areas. Jörg has been managing the company as CEO since 2003. He was a member of various supervisory and management boards including 360 Treasury Systems, Webfair, Step Ahead, Hurra and Autoscout24. IVC’s strong deal making experience has led to some remarkable exits.
Mark Diskin has co-founded a number of companies since 1971 including Alta Berkeley Venture Partners, a European venture capital firm that specializes in providing venture capital for the healthcare, IT and media sectors. Having been an independent consultant since 1988, he has considerable experience in assisting with the growth of private companies. In his career, Mark has been a non-executive director of over 100 companies in the UK, The Netherlands, Switzerland and South Africa. Mark graduated with a B. Comm. from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College, USA. He is a Chartered Accountant and has worked for Peat Marwick Mitchell, London and The Singer Company, New York.
Dr Roland Metzger worked several years as a Management Consultant for Sema Group and Arthur D. Little and later joined as a member of the Management Board at Siemens AG. In 1995 he founded “Jobpilot” the first online job board in Europe.”Jobpilot” was the market leader in Europe with presence in 14 countries and went public in the year 2000. In 2002 the company was sold to Adecco S.A., the world’s leading recruitment service provider and Roland remained CEO until 2003. Dr. Metzger was honored with the “Online Star” and also received honours from the Council of the German Internet Economy for his outstanding success and pioneering work in the field of e-recruiting. He studied Mathematics and Economics at Heidelberg University, where he received his Diploma Degree in Mathematics and PhD in Economics.
Dr. Brigitte Mohn serves as a Member of the Management Board at Bertelsmann Stiftung and as the Chairwoman of the Stiftung Deutsche Schlaganfallhilfe. She has been a Member of Supervisory Board at Rhön-Klinikum Aktiengesellschaft since July 17, 2002 and a Member of the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA (Alternative Name: Bertelsmann AG) since January 1, 2008 and startsocial 2002. She has also been a Member of Supervisory Board at Rhoen Klinikum AG since July 17, 2002 and also serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Mediclin AG and Philipps-Universität, Marburg.
Mr. van Dedem served as Managing Director, Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of UNION TANK Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG until July 1, 2015. Prior to Union Tank Eckstein, he has worked in several positions at ABN Amro Bank, incl. in South America, The USA and The Netherlands for a period of 10 years. He served as Officer in the Royal Netherlands Navy for 2 years. He has been a Member of Corporate Finance Advisory Board at Kepler Capital Markets since March 2010. He holds a degree from H.E.A.O Utrecht (Netherlands).
After his career in derivatives trading, Norbert Boon became one of the founding partners at Asset Control back in 1994, a leading data quality and logistics management solution for market data, reference data and entity data. He was involved in early initiatives of analysing and managing huge quantities of tick based market data for the purpose of algorithmic trading and overall trading strategies. In 2005, he got associated with Tenfore, a niche real-time market data player and now part of Morningstar Real-time Data, playing a key role in the reshaping of the company. This was followed by a tenure in PaceMetrics, a company that introduced process control concepts in enterprise data, transaction data, position data and risk reporting management. Presently, he is associated with several start-ups in the field of enterprise social networking, interactive video and data management concepts. Norbert studied economics in The Netherlands and obtained his MBA at the Flemish Business School associate to the Kellogg School of Management.
Dick Schonis is currently active as an independent legal advisor, with special emphasis on taxation. He started his career as a tax inspector and later he worked as a Judge. From 1986 until 2007 he was a professor on tax law at Radboud University (The Netherlands) and since 1989 until 2007 he also worked as an international partner in the lawfirm of Baker & McKenzie in Amsterdam. Dick Schonis served at boards of Wereldhave N.V. Exact Holding N.V. and Royal Grolsch N.V., Delta Lloyd Bankengroep N.V. and several other companies. He studied law and taxlaw in Rotterdam and Tilburg where he obtained a Phd in 1985.
