GCap Media Selects Flytxt Neon for Mobile Growth

Neon cements its position as platform market leader

 

GCap Media, the UK’s leading commercial radio company, today announced it has chosen Flytxt, the leading mobile direct marketing company, to provide the delivery platform for its future mobile marketing.  Flytxt’s Neon mobile marketing platform outperformed competitors to clinch a two-year contract.  GCap Media will be growing its brand and mobile revenues with Neon across 49 of it’s radio stations, starting in December.

 

GCap Media and Flytxt began working together in April 2004.  Since then, mobile has been used to continually drive listener figures, keep listeners loyal and generate revenues.  In November 2005 the radio giant took the decision to review its mobile platform supplier requirements and after a 12 month appraisal period was sufficiently impressed by Flytxt’s new Neon platform to commit to a two-year contract with an option on a third year. 

GCap Media, which boasts among it’s local and national radio portfolio such stations as Capital Radio, Classic FM & Xfm, was looking for a platform which could deliver an even more personal and interactive experience for its 16 million weekly listeners.  Using Flytxt Neon, GCap DJs and radio programmers can control their interaction with listeners directly and with more sophisticated tools.  They can set-up and run mobile campaigns delivering a range of value-added services to listeners, including competitions, breaking news, celebrity gossip, sales promotions and personalised time-sensitive replies from the DJs.
