MMS takes off with two separate campaigns
Wednesday, 28 April 2004

Marketing Direct, April 2004 - MMS could finally be taking off with both EMAP and Chrysalis Radio using it last month.

March saw the launch of an MMS campaign by EMAP Advertising to promote the film Honey. Run by Flytxt, SMS messages went out to 50,000 opted-in members of EMAP brand Kiss FM’s database, inviting them to text in to win tickets.

Chrysalis-owned Galaxy became the first UK radio station to run an MMS campaign. DJs invited listeners to take a picture with their phone and send it in via MMS.
