Precision Marketing - United Pictures International (UPI) is rolling out its first global SMS campaign to promote action thriller The Bourne Supremacy. Flytxt is set to handle mobile marketing of the movie's DVD and video release. The texting campaign will promote the film via a mobile game. Prospects will be invited to join a five-day 'Do you have what it takes to be a Bourne?' challenge, with puzzles testing their reasoning abilities sent daily to their handsets. The drive is to be supported by a range of different on- and offline initiatives in each of ten participating countries. It is due to launch this month in Australia before coming to the UK in January. Flytxt will also be building a mobile database for future direct marketing initiatives for UPI. Prospects will be encouraged to register their details by entering a prize-draw for the chance to win film-related prizes. A spokeswoman for UPI says: "We are excited about how the mobile campaign will build a connection between the audience and the Jason Bourne character." © Copyright Flytxt Ltd 2006.
