Media & Marketing Europe - Video mobile network 3 is to run the first ad over 3G from late this month. 3 will run a trailer of the new British film It’s all Gone Pete Tong which is released on 26 May in the UK. Following a deal between mobile marketing services provider Flytxt and RedBus Film Distribution, the trailer will be available via the Today link on 3. Gareth Jones, chief operating officer at 3, said: "Advertisers now have a new and targeted visual medium with which to reach consumers. We know what our customers enjoy watching over 3G, we also know the profile of our customers, and this means ads or paid-for content can be tailored and relevant."Flytxt co-founder and director of corporate development Pamir Gelenbe said: "The advantage for brand owners is that mobile marketing combines the wide reach of TV with the precision of DM and the tracking potential of the internet."
