160 characters.org - UK mobile marketing company Flytxt has been awarded a two-year contract to develop and implement integrated wireless programs for Time Inc. starting with People and Teen People magazines. "There's a growing understanding in the Unites States of how mobile marketing can help to drive incremental revenues, increase audience-brand proximity, and extend brand communication into the personal sphere," said Carsten Boers, co-founder and CEO of Flytxt."We're trying text based programmes to see how audiences respond and if it can help us generate subscriptions" said Ned Desmond, Executive Editor, Time Inc. Interactive. "It's early days" he said but said that they had been encouraged by the results already obtained with Sports Illustrated. © Copyright Flytxt Ltd 2006.
