HarperCollins Brings Author to Cell Phones

Promo Magazine - HarperCollins Children's Books is going mobile to let its teen readers get in touch with Meg Cabot, the author of the Princess Diaries series, All-American Girl and Avalon High (due out in January).

The Meg Cabot Mobile Club will provide SMS-based promotions including sweepstakes, text-based trivia campaigns, screensavers and VoiceTones from the author. Subscribers will also receive updates about the Avalon High release.

Consumers join the club online at www.megcabot.com/mobileor by sending a text message to MEG11.

The mobile programs are available through all major wireless carriers, and HarperCollins will promote via ads on www.thewb.com, www.seventeen.com, www.teenpeople.com, www.ellegirl.com and www.cosmogirl.com.
