Flytxt Strengthens Senior Management Team and Streamlines Company Focus
Wednesday, 29 March 2006

New York, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Flytxt, the leading mobile direct marketing company, today announced significant changes to its senior management structure including Flytxt Board Director, David Harper, becoming Executive Chairman of the parent company. The changes come at a crucial time in Flytxt's company strategy as it focuses its marketing and sales efforts on its leading technology product, Flytxt Direct.

The company has made a decisive move and is building on the success of its industry leading mobile campaign management tool Flytxt Direct -- a platform which incorporates the experience that Flytxt has gained from thousands of mobile campaigns. Designed with a straight forward user interface, it is suited both to the mobile marketing expert as well as the novice allowing clients to go online from anywhere in the world and manage powerful mobile marketing campaigns to acquire or retain customers, build brand awareness or generate revenue. Flytxt Direct not only allows a business to create a campaign but also to segment its database via versatile filtering rules, broadcast SMS, MMS and WAP Push messages, view the responses and track the progress of those activities using real time reports.

The goal of the company's development efforts is to provide continual improvements in the ROI achieved by its clients. Existing shareholders, who include IVC Venture Capital AG, Gordion Investments Ltd and Herald Ventures, have recently injected $2m to accelerate these product development efforts.

New Executive Chairman, David Harper, comes to Flytxt from marketing and general management positions in the high tech industry and latterly as investor in technology companies. He has been a non-executive director at Flytxt since 2000. Co-founder Carsten Boers, who was appointed as CEO in April 2004, is returning to New York as President of Flytxt Inc. Boers, who set-up the North American operation 2.5 years ago, will be responsible for managing the continuous and exceptional growth Flytxt is experiencing in that part of the world.

David Harper commented, "The question for us was how to maximize our strengths, which are superior technology products and experienced service support teams. Therefore strategically, we're now focused on delivering technology with a global reach combined with a second to none local service. I am very excited to be leading these efforts."

Carsten Boers added, "Our North American offices have done a tremendous job over the past two years in signing up top clients and creating a very strong reputation for us. We have an exceptional team here and I am very pleased to be able to rejoin them locally."

New VP Operations, Tim Williams brings over 20 years of management skills to the UK office and is charged with delivering Flytxt's future generations of products. Williams joins Flytxt from Video Communications Systems AG where he managed the UK operations.

Other management changes include new roles for Pamir Gelenbe as VP Sales & Strategy, Thomas Schuster as VP Product & Technology, Adhish Kulkarni as VP Client Services and Tobias Behrenwaldt as VP Finance.

Flytxt was launched in October 2000 and as a pioneer played a critical role in defining the mobile marketing arena internationally. Since this launch over five years ago, Flytxt has designed and managed hundreds of campaigns, provided technology to many customers running their own campaigns and won a large number of industry awards. The 'Orange Wednesdays' cinema ticket program*, which is live in both the UK and Romania and is managed by Flytxt, is the most successful mobile direct marketing loyalty campaign ever run in Europe. Flytxt boasts an impressive client list including Cingular, EMAP, Capital Radio Group, HarperCollins, British Airways, Time Inc, and Yahoo!

*'Orange Wednesdays' is a global first. It's a nationwide mobile loyalty campaign with over 2,000 mobile voucher redemption terminals deployed across the entire UK cinema industry. It is one of the biggest, most exciting projects ever run in the mobile industry pushing the boundaries of what has been done to date. Orange and Flytxt have effectively made the mobile become a season ticket for film by providing virtual tickets, in the form of mobile vouchers, direct to customers' mobile handsets.

The programme provides Orange and the cinema industry with regular detailed reports on the numbers of mobile vouchers requested, redeemed, and which films are being watched. This real-time data helps Orange and the cinema industry to develop a better understanding of its customers and their film and cinema going habits.

The '2-4-1' mobile voucher can be redeemed for any film, at any time, every Wednesday at cinemas nation wide. Orange customers request the mobile voucher by texting the keyword 'film' to the number '241' or via WAP or IVR interface. In response, they receive a mobile voucher, containing a unique code, by SMS.
