Barbican looks to wireless to promote exhibitions

The Barbican, Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue and home of the London Symphony Orchestra, today announced that it has chosen Flytxt, the wireless marketing expert, to initiate its first SMS promotional activities and to build its first opt-in SMS database. The Barbican will start its SMS marketing activity with the 'Game On' Exhibition, which opened earlier this month and will run all summer until 15 September 2002.

SMS works for Kiss 100

Kiss 100, Emap's London based Radio Station targeted at 15-24 year olds and its below the line agency Angel Uplifting Marketing, have cemented their relationship with Flytxt, the wireless marketing specialist following several successful mobile marketing and customer relationship management campaigns. Flytxt and Angel Uplifting Marketing began working together in November 2001 with Kiss 100's 'HeySexy' SMS database of over 56,000 mobile numbers, built up from promotional activity with Angel over the previous months.

Wella is offering respondents a choice of two new products from its Shockwaves range, sent to their home address. There are two options for the sample, depending on which poster execution people see.
