Channel 5 today announced that it has chosen Flytxt, the
wireless marketing expert, to roll out a second Movie Bonanza SMS
campaign promoting the six blockbuster movies that form part of the
channel's current Tuesday night promotion. Channel 5 and Flytxt ran a
similar campaign through February and March 2001, which proved very
successful in building loyalty to viewing specific blockbuster films as
well as initiating an interactive dialogue with its existing viewers.
Channel 5's decision to repeat the campaign on a larger scale is
further evidence of the strength of the medium and how SMS is forming a
key element of broadcasters' marketing mix. |

Outdoor advertising contractor JCDecaux today announces
the launch of its new SMS poster advertising service, PosterTxt, and
its partnership with wireless marketing expert Flytxt. This marks the
first opportunity for advertisers to plan street furniture advertising
campaigns with fully integrated direct response wireless marketing
components. This partnership is a market first and the joint product
offering is available immediately. The first client to use the system
is already signed up, and the campaign will run towards the end of this

Flytxt's cutting edge CRM campaign for Emap Performance
Network has won the Royal Mail Marketing Direct Intelligence Award for
Best New Profiling Technique. At an awards ceremony last week, Flytxt
was recognised for its groundbreaking work with Smash Hits magazine to
increase awareness of the magazine's brand through an opt-in text
message club. Finalists included the National Blood Service's campaign
for recruiting blood donors as well as campaigns submitted by direct
marketing agencies Claritas and CACI.
